Karasakız variety is native to Mount Ida(Kaz Dağları), close to the site of ancient Troy. Grown in a single vineyard at an altitude of 500 meters , it is fermented with native yeast only. The wine is a blend of Karasakız (%94) and Merlot (%6) . It is partially barrel-aged for 6 months in French and Americak oak. The nose is delightful with aromas of sweet red cherry , cranberry, and dry fig. The distinct nose carries over on to the palate with sweet cherry red fruit , sour cherry freshness with great acidity and tannins that are gentle. Hugely distinctive, and delicious with a long spicy finish. Best served very slightly chilled.
